These two bass guitars appear to be fairly equal from the stand point of specs. The only way you are going to know which one you like the best is to go play both of them. Every bass is a little different sound wise so, unless you play it you can't really tell about the sound or the playability and feel of the bass. I have a Yamaha SH505 bass guitar and It's pretty awesome for the price. So, I guess I'm somewhat partial to the Yamaha but, you the one who have to play it. Anytime you invest hundreds of dollars in something you intend to hae for a while you really need to go try it out first. You might also look at these:
