What would be a great guitar for learner/intermediate players which have decent pickups and well made?
I am wanting to start learning guitar so what would be a electric guitar under $600 Aus that is versatile and well made?
A few of my friends who do play guitar say these guitars are very good for starting and they are well made with good pickups:

Any help would be much appreciated

The last two links are broken...
Any one of these would be an OK choice. Which one to go for is more of a personal taste than anything else. The differences between the Epiphone and Fender style guitars are quite obvious in sound, specs as well as appearance.
If I was forced to choose between these four I would go for the Les Paul. That is my taste between these options here though, plus the Epiphones has a better build quality in general than the Squiers. I don't fancy any of them at all really. The Epiphones tend to have some rather unfriendly necks, and the Squier brand... not my cup of tea, thank you very much. A US, Mexico or Japan Fender is an entirely different thing.
A brand of guitars you really should take the time to check out is the Agile: http://www.learnelectricguitarnow.net/agile-electrics (scroll past the first pages of cheaper instruments).
These amazing guitars deliver a quality that far, far supersedes any Squier or Epiphone. In reality, the better Agile guitars are quite comparable to really good Gibson guitars costing many times more. I have expensive Fender and Gibson guitars, but will just as well play an Agile.
The only downside I can think of is that you can only get them online, and you will have to add the cost of shipment and customs. In any case, it is well worth it.
Other brands I would rather have than the ones you suggest is some items by Jay Turser, Ibanez and Samick. Better quality in my experience.
